Julia Kagan is a visual artist and creative located in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC. Her primary mediums include paint, pastel, mixed media, and collage. Julia received a liberal arts education at Dickinson College, where she studied psychology and gender studies, and completed studio art coursework in printmaking and ceramics. She continues her arts education by participating in local classes and workshops, including Introduction to Book Illustration at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Julia has sold her work at a variety of art markets throughout the DC area, including those the Scooby Doo Mansion (Mount Pleasant), Red Dirt Studio (Mount Rainier), and Lost Sock Roasters (Takoma).

Julia loves to inspire a love for art and creativity in children and youth. She has experience teaching art workshops at summer camps, extracurricular programs, and birthday parties. Currently, she is teaching at elementary schools throughout DC in partnership with EYL365, a community-based arts education program.

In addition to her artwork, she has spent her professional career honing communications skills in both nonprofit and corporate settings. She is pleased to offer social media services to value-aligned businesses and organizations.
